Description
World Theater Day was initiated in 1961 by the International Theater Institute (ITI). It is celebrated annually on the 27th March by ITI Centers and the international theater community. Various national and international theater events are organized to mark this occasion. One of the most important of these is the circulation of the World Theater Day International Message through which at the invitation of ITI, a figure of world stature shares his or her reflections on the theme of Theater and a Culture of Peace.

Ever since 1962, a message has been made to all of us in the name of that day. It is known as the Message of the World Theater Day. Every year, one person is chosen with great merit in the theater, or one that has its own heart and soul, albeit in another area, to share their reflections on stage art and international harmony. Because the theater not only enjoys, but also unites, makes us sympathetic and teaches us love. Over the years, celebrities such as Jean Cocteau, Arthur Miller, Ellen Stewart, Richard Burton, and John Malkovich have been sending the message that marks that day.

This year The Association of Bulgarian Performers Artists in America is organizing an invitational celebration of the World Theater day. The master of ceremony actress Lilia Slavova will read addresses for America and Europe by xxxxx and yyyyy
